Is this you?

  • Your denture has broken into two or more pieces
  • It cracked right through after a drop
  • A piece has come away from the side

Before you come in

  • Bring every piece, even small ones
  • Keep the pieces in a clean bag or box
  • Do not glue it, as glue stops the pieces lining up
  • Do not wear it, as the edges can be sharp
What to do when a denture breaks

What we do

  1. We line the pieces up

Our technician fits the pieces back together exactly as they were, so your bite stays the same.

  2. We rejoin it with denture acrylic

The same material your denture is made from, set and cured in our lab, not glue.

  3. We smooth and polish it

The join is finished so it feels like it did before, then we hand it back in the lounge.

All done in our own lab, right behind reception, so your denture never leaves the building. How a visit works

Questions people ask

Something else? Call us on 01698 682109, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.

Can a denture that has snapped in half be fixed?

Usually, yes. A clean break into two or three pieces is one of the most common repairs we do. Bring all the pieces and we will look at it straight away.

How long does a snapped denture repair take?

Most are ready in under an hour while you wait in our lounge.

Should I glue it until I can get to you?

Please do not. Household glue is not safe in your mouth and it stops the pieces lining up properly, which makes a good repair much harder. Keep the pieces safe and bring them in as they are.

Will I be able to see where it broke?

We rejoin it with the same pink acrylic and polish the join, so it should look and feel like it did before.
